The text-mode part of startup works, but once it switches to graphics mode, the screen turns black (and stays black). Now I decided that this graphics adapter has been collecting dust long enough, so I finally installed it. Initially I believe this was a 14.04 install, which I upgraded to 16.04, 18.04, now 20.04.īack in the days I also bought a graphics adapter, but never bothered to install it (the integrated graphics turned out to be "good enough").
